Great Lakes Golden Retriever Rescue is dedicated to finding forever homes for rescued or surrendered Golden Retrievers. Our organization is very passionate about doing what is best for our Goldens. We have foster homes throughout Michigan, and we adopt dogs to families located in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Michigan Ski for Light’s purpose is promote the physical fitness of visually and mobility impaired adults in an environment where “we can’t” is replaced with “we can.” The highlight of our year is hosting a 3-day annual event, where skier’s and guides are paired together to go cross-country skiing in beautiful northern Michigan. There are no paid employees in this organization – 100% volunteers.

More than 250,000 students and their host families have benefited from the support and expertise of YFU. The YFU global network is united by the belief that full cultural immersion is the most effective means to gain the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly multicultural, interconnected and competitive global society.
